I have been a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician and professional makeup artist for over 20 years and I've tried hundreds of different moisturizers.. All kinds of moisturizers whether drugstore, luxury or medical grade and it's really rare for me to come across a moisturizer I love as much as the Nopalera Cactus Body Cream! I'm a big fan of the Nopalera line in general and have yet to use a product by them I've disliked. Im a Florida native and spend alot of time boating and on the water, my skin also leans into the extremely dry territory to the point where it will get flaky if I don't regularly exfoliate and moisturize but I hate the feeling of body moisturizer especially when it's really hot out and the humidity is through the roof because it doesn't allow it to absorb and causes me to sweat even more then usual so I typically avoid using body moisturizer during the extreme months here but this body moisturizer absorbs super quick without leaving a greasy or filmy feeling on the skin. It smells beautiful but unlike your typical feminine fragranced lotions which I love.. I'm more of a earthy /woodsy fragrance lover and this fits me perfectly! In fact the same week I received this lotion I actually ordered the Nopalera fragrances as well and I couldn't be happier with all of it.. I'm looking forward to trying more of the line.. The Nopalera Cactus Body Cream - Bosque Místico lotion is good quality lotion. The product is creamy and rich and can be applied smoothly. The bottle is heavy and high quality and gives a luxury feel as compared to normal plastic bottles. I think this is quite a rich lotion as I need little to apply and it makes me feel super hydrated. I also like that it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a greasy feeling. Some lotions are super heavy and leave a sticky feeling even after massaging them into the skin, but I'm glad this one doesn't do that. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, it's just not something I enjoy, but it's not that strong and overpowering that I can't use it. I have the green color but maybe the other colors smell better. I also am very picky with smells so maybe it's just me and someone else might enjoy it. Definitely take a look at the scent notes before choosing. Overall this is a good product and I recommend it. I just want to start off by saying I love everything from Nopalera. I love that this is a Latina owned business and it's a business that doesn't miss at that! I love every product I've tried from them and this is no different. I'm very picky on ingredients and Nopalera passes the test. Clean ingredients! I love that there is no hormone disruptors in the ingredients (which is more common for body creams than you would think unfortunately- check those ingredients!!) The scent of this is so lovely. I would describe it as if you walked into a spa. The type of fresh scent that isn't floral in a way that is a powdery floral / bothers your nose (trust me i would know) but like a fresh dewy lotus I would actually almost describe it as. Nopalera’s Cactus Body Cream in Bosque Místico is not bad, but not my favourite Nopalera product. The formula is hydrating and leaves the skin feeling well-moisturized for hours, which I really appreciated. That said, the texture can feel a bit sticky at times and required some time before it is fully absorbed to feel non-greasy. The scent was my biggest hesitation with this product. It starts off with a strong, somewhat dated aroma that didn’t immediately appeal to me. Luckily, it does mellow out as it dries down, becoming softer, but the initial burst can be off-putting. The notes include hibiscus, pepper, citrus zest, honeysuckle, orris, and cashmere woods, but I couldn't pick up any of these that strongly. I like that the body cream has vitamins E and K for anti-inflammatory benefits, and how it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, and protected, so I will probably be applying it during my night time routine instead of during the day. Overall, it’s a decent moisturizer with noticeable hydration benefits, yet the fragrance and slight tackiness keep it from becoming a staple in my routine. **This review was collected as part of a promotion.
